Went to get oil tonight at Walmart and I got some Motorcraft 10w30 it says Ford powerstroke on the label so I'm guessing it can be used in the 7.3 or is it for the newer trucks I was using Delo 5w40 but they were out and the Motorcraft 10w30 was only $17 for 1.25 gal jug.

The diesel rated (CJ-4) Motorcraft 10w30 can be use in a 7.3 PSD without issue.
The chart in the thread referenced is for a 6.7 IIRC.
However, they only recommend a 5w40 for under 30*F which doesn't really make sense IMHO. I have towed in the summer with a 10w30 and plowed in the winter with it w/o issue. In the coming years 10w30 will start displacing 15w40 as the PC-11 oils come online.
