I'm new to the site and to vintage trucks. I've purchased a
1960 F100 4x4 that is in need of care. I'm working on the front suspension and I'm having a difficult time locating the proper
lower bracket that the front leaf spring U bolts pass thru and bolt up to. I'm also looking for fender sheet metal (full fenders) door lowers, lower rear styleside fenders....
Any help is welcome....
I live in the Cleveland Ohio area and look forward to restoring this
beautiful beast!
Hey, welcome! A few other new members have joined us recently. Take a look at the threads from the past week or so to get an idea of how to get oriented and what resources FTE and this forum have.
You've got a truck year that can be hard to find parts for. Kenny (our moderator) and a number of the other regulars have trucks from the 1957-1960 series as well. If anybody can help you out, they can.
Hey Welcome aboard! I'm from Akron, I got a 1960 F-100 too! Try joblotautomotive.com for the part. I can' help too much with sheetmetal, but I if you take your truck to a large car show I always get people giving phone#'s for parts. What part of cleveland are ya from? -4speed
I was just at the Avon lake ford show Saturday. Down in Akron Summmit Racing is having a truckfest in septemeber. I'll be there along with some other friends from another site. E-mail me off site(its in my profile) and I maybe able to help you out. -4speed
4Speed, I've found that there is a time requirement to email folks.
I'd like to go to the Summit show. I'll call Summit racing and get some show info. I'm sure we will run into each other!
Not many
'60's F100's around.
welcome to the forum! Post some pictures of your truck so we can all see it, and keep us posted on your progress. I've been able to find a lot of parts for my '60 F100 4wd on ebay. search under topics "1960 F100" "1960 ford truck" etc.
