I don't know anything on the origin and have never seen another like it but I would sure enjoy owning and driving it.

Well now that is interesting.
Is that a Jeep or Dodge power wagon cab?

Real what? Real truck, possibly, doesn't appear to be a model. Real from a single manufacturer? I don't think so, looks to be an assemblage of misc parts. Real period vehicle? Naw I don't think so, bed looks to be recent non US sourced, paint job is brand new, still overspray on tires, cab ???? looks like bread truck from front. Where is it supposed to be located?

Sorta reminds me of this modified armored car we saw a year or so ago. Seems odd, thought, to see such a truck on a half ton chassis. Stu

I'd swear that's a SE Asian bed from the late 50's/early 60's

Are those latches on the front and back of the bed sides? Do the sides fold down?

Yes, racer, they do. Many Asian and European makers used this type of bed for their mid and large trucks. Think of it as a convertible flatbed.

Real? Of course it is!
The door handles are drooping down.
You can't fake that minute detail of our trucks.

Then again, it could be a giant wedding cake.

I posted that.

According to the current owner, it is a 52 military spec 4x4. He tells me it was factory built as shown, with the front clip being the same as the civie version while it is different from the windscreens back. Joe Dunn put me on to MH, so am investigating.

Stu could better answer this than me, but they do not look like M-H hubs.
