I deleted most of the old pictures, and put in better and newer pictures that really do my truck justice. They show more of it, and better views. and I took the time to add the discriptions this time.
Any Ideas or input about anything would be appreciated,
But would specifically like to know what everyone thinks about The idea of Putting some 16.5 Old style Turbine alum mags, and tires that I can get fairly cheap, On This Truck? All tires are used but nice. The two back Tires are bigger than the ones that fit the front but are nice meaty mud and snow looking things, that may look good on the flatbed. Front are more street looking tires. should I go with what I can get Cheap?? (These). Or wait since this will be one of the main dress ups I may do.
Also there is one picture that shows a little of my headliner, Is it the original one. can anyone tell?? Cause it sags but looks fix able.
I just took pictures today, and have been hours getting them on the computer editing them and doing my gallery, All in anticaption of your guys input. Man I think I'm hooked on FTE! IS THAT POSSIBLE??

Hey -
I have a soft spot for work/industrial trucks....I know you want opinions, so I'll give ya mine, take it for what it's worth: If it were my truck (which it isn't), I'd forget about hot rod rims and put on the work truck steelies. I don't know the name of them, but they usually dome out in the center, and have horsepill-shaped slots in them. I think they are usually on duallys? I'd even slap a dually rear under there!
Does anyone around here have pics of the bigger series '57 - '60 trucks? Like the F500 and up? Delivery trucks, light duty or "pup" semi's (like modern day Pepsi and Coke trucks), flatbed duallies? Man, I just dig those heavy haulers!
But I digress....it's not my truck, you've got rims handy so go for it!

Since you asked, Here's my opioion: When you say turbine mags you mean like the general lee wheels? That would make the truck way too seventies. I say either chrome steelies or some cragars. The truck looks awsome! Add chrome bumpers get the rims and you'd have a really nice truck! The inside of yours is very clean!

Thanks all, for the kind words and advice. I thought I was Excited about this truck before. Its amazing how contageous everyones enthusiasm is. You folks and FTE have kicked it up to another level.

Why would clearance be an issue? because of the bigger tires, or the 16.5 rims. I thought That most 16.5 tires where sized to compensate? It has overload springs on it, and I was thinking about putting on some air shocks, so I can make up any clearance in hieght. and so I can adjust the stance in the rear if needed.

I to have a soft spot for heavy duty and industial trucks, But I preffer 4 Tires, rather then duallys. Its not that I was actually looking for "Hot Rod" type rims, or any other style really. I was looking for whatever I could get, and these Kinda fell in my lap. I'm TRYING to Like them.

The Alum. Turbine Mags Are The same as, The GENERAL LEE had?? Thats Funny, but I'm Not sure if that bothers me or not. I knew They seemed Familiar. knew they where older style, but Wasn't Thinking 70's. OR, Dukes Of Hazzard! Well I guess I could mount a tire or two and try them for looks, The tires are a truck tire and maybe will give the rims a none dukes of Hazard look. If they look OK, I will just have to hope, that without the orange paint and Flag, That no one else will make the connection.

Opinions are like *ssholes, everybody has one. Here's mine -
I agree with several of the others - forget the turbine/dukes of Hazzard wheels. They do not work with your truck. Actually, I can't think of what they would work on these days....Someone suggested smoothies. Excellant choice.
Early Wheel Co. in Santa Ynex, CA. { www.earlywheel.com }makes them (as Im sure many others do) in just about any width or backspace. They take several different small center hubcaps....
I think they would look great painted tha same colour as your cab...
