Another 43ish Military truck

Found this the other day while securing a deal on another Cabover (non ford this time) anyway this poor old thing is about used up but being a military truck deserves to be saved if for nothing more than the parts.

I have a 45 gpw and i know some of those parts get fairly desirable.

I know i can buy it but not sure how much he will want. He said over scrap price. I know a 48 52 1.5 to 2 ton truck ( cab and chassis weights around 5500lbs. Anyone know whatbthis thing weights? Im guessing fairly close to 5k?

My G8T weighs 5550 with a bed.

That truck is in pretty rough shape. I bought mine from a scrapyard for 900 and it ran and had no rough body panels.

WOW! I figured the *** end of my frame was cut a bit, but not that much. Mine was cut just behind the rear shackles.

Yes, these trucks are very long over the rear axle when made. I believe they spent most of their life as troop transports and hauling large items of light weight.

Here is one in its original state. Although it has blanks for the headlights as well as the turns lights.
