What should I do with my 272s?
I was forced to clean up my garage yesterday. You know, family issues...
Everything that wasn't any good is now gone. All the tools are where they are supposed to be, all the parts were sorted out and stored safely. But...There seem to be a problem which I can't figure out how to solve. I have a few (actually 3, counting the one that I lost) Y-blocks in here, and I lost one of them due to rust inside the cylinders walls (I know... I should have sprayed some more oil inside a couple years ago, but it's too late now). I don't want to lose another one. My question is: What do you think I should do with those engines? Start them once in a while? Put a lot of oil inside the cylinders?
Does anybody have any ideas?
By the way, throw them away is not an option, and they are too big to put inside sealed plastic bags.
Thanks in advance,
Lobo
Dick, I also have a friend who loves mopars. He has a chromed 318 inside his bedroom as an ornament... You wouldn't believe how much he spent to do that.
Himmelberg, I have a brand new set of pistons for a 292 here, and I plan to get them installed into that 272. I was going to take one of the 272s apart to install these pistons anyway... I'll finish to take it apart this weekend, and I'll send it to the machine shop next week. Just don't ask me when I'm going to put it back together...

Thanks again for the inputs,
Lobo
