Help with tire rubbing sound that's not tires.

So I just completed my hydroboost install and fixed exhaust manifolds. After this install the below problem started.

ISSUE:
While going slow and straight no problems. Slightest bit of turning effort left or right makes a sound like a tire rubbing on leaf springs. I can also feel the vibration. It happens in drive while moving or in neutral while moving. Happens wither hubs in auto or locked. Happens in 2wd or 4wd. It's not the steering pump cause it wines a tad now when brakes applied and I turn steering wheel. So I know what that sounds like. Expected that.

Jacked it up and checked for any movement in steering or ball joints and found nothing.

X does not make the sound above 15 mph.

It's anoying....sounds and feels exactly like tire lugs hitting the leaf springs but they are not.

Any suggestions?

Steering shaft rubbing on anything? Front u joints and that dust seal rubbing? And you're sure tires aren't hitting mud flaps?

Problem exists without movement of steering wheel. For instance turn steering wheel 1/4 turn from center and keep it there. Sound and vibration there until vehicle stops moving. Sound increases and decreases with speed.

No mud flaps, only have 33 inch tires with v codes up front an c codes in rear. Absolutely no tire rubbing at all.

Wouldn't hub bearings show up when I jacked up front end and checked ball joints?

parking brake shoes, caliper hanging a bit and pads rubbing.

Vibration you say....where is it being felt? In the seat of your pants? Steering wheel and hands? Feet and pedal?

It feels just like a tire rubbing on the leaf spring. You can actually see vehicle move with thumping sound.

If hubs weren't free, (I can spin axle by hand) I would swear it was the the axle u joints binding.

Upper shock bolt came loose and the shock absorber is rubbing on the upper inner tire tread.

Well, I took the locking hubs off to see if that helps, it did a little but I can still feel the thumping.

It appears something is wrong on the passenger side hub, when I removed the locking hub it had what appears to be front differential lube in it. See photos.
I know it cant be lube from axle so what could it be?

Clean hub is from the drivers side.

Suggestions?

Unit bearing OK? Ball joints? Tie rods tight? Someone may have slobbered a bunch of grease in there as lube. Is the hub getting hotter on one side than the other side? You may need to dive deeper.

Remove the hub (unit bearing), are the needle bearings well lubed and clean?

From Guzzle "Remove the three thrust washers, paying close attention on the order that they were removed. There are two round washers with a hex washer in between them. They will have to be re-installed in the same order. Place the thrust washers off to the side and keep them clean. If you have a broken or worn washer, the Ford part for a package that contains all 3 is F81Z3B458AA"

All the thrust washers there and in the correct order?

That is exactly what I was thinking. Lifted front end AGAIN and checked everything. Only thing I found was a steering stabilizer bolt the moved a tad. Tightened it up....still thumped.

Finally put wife in drivers seat and asked her if she felt anything while I was looking under and feeling front tires as it thumped. She looked at me funny and said she thinks its coming from rear not front. So I felt the rear tires as she turned and WOW I really felt thump then.

Jacked up rear end checked u-joints NOTHING! So I put it in neutral to see if it thumped when I rotated tires.....NOTHING! BUT both rear tires turn the same direction....Its either got lockers or the limited slip is thumping when I turn.

I did replace rear end lube with Amsoil about 1000 miles ago...maybe I need some additive?

Thoughts?

So no limited slip? Must be aftermarket?

The decoder is ok but not 100% accurate. I do have a leather steering wheel, and seats. Decoder says cloth seats. I have leather 3rd row seats too.
