Not sure. Go up to the ranger forum and ask there. Diesels in the early 80's were not very popular since GM's failures in the late 70's early 80's. And they always were considered slow and stinky and noisy. Most people to this day still think they a stinky and noisy, only the younger crowd have made them popular in the larger trucks.
