New cam installation
I am looking at putting new cam in . Checked on the comp cam 268h and the help line at comp cams said to use the extreme energy instead said it was a newer cam. Do you need to install new valve springs ect.. Or will just lifters, timing chain be ok. I didnt want this to turn into a wallet buster. What do you reccomend on changing on a new install over stock cam, if it needs the new springs ,rods, rockers, i dont mind spending the money.

All you you need extra are the springs. Your stock rockers will work fine. The main reason for the springs is you need a certain amount of open pressure to keep out of valve float. Get the springs comp recomends for the cam you use. Just be sure they are of the stock diameter so no machining is needed on the spring pocket. And of coarse lifters are a must.
Anytime I'm working on the valvetrain I always put new pushrods in. It's cheap.
