Overheating ranger xlt 98 3.0

Hey guys, thought I'd give this a try an see if anyone could help me out with the overheating problem I've been having, I've changed the thermostat, flushed the whole coolant system out, changed thermostat, flushed so many times it isn't even funny, Guy before us put stop leak/liquid glass in it before auction (truck was given to us) and now we have this problem, Wondering what I may possibly do to fix this problem, It idols then after it gets to operating temp it shoots to the sky, No signs of blown head gasket, no milky oil or antifreeze/water in oil, anyone have any ideas of what may the possible fix could be? No check engine light or anything. Tried everything I know to do. Really hate to replace the whole coolant system and all that, also water pump isn't out, no leaks, absolutely nothing. Any feed back will be greatly appreciated.

I would suspect the water pump is not working properly. Once the engine gets to operating temp, the thermostat opens and the water pump pushes coolant through the radiator to cool it off. It sounds like this is not happening. To check the flow, disconnect the upper radiator hose at the radiator and start the engine, once the thermostat opens, water should gush out of the upper hose. Keep a garden hose in the radiator to keep it full while doing this test. Also check the fan clutch when the engine is cool to see it it turns easy by hand. Lastly the radiator and heater core does not like stop leak as it plugs small passageways and greatly reduces efficiency.

Thank you for your help! I will try that, And to make sure I understand correctly, your saying take the top house where the thermostat goes? But take the hose off where it hooks up to the radiator instead.

Check for combustion gases in the coolant, might be a blown head gasket.
