The oil is leaking from the "non-servicable plug" on the HPOP; not the rear main seal. I bought the parts from diesel o-rings to fix it next weekend.
The engine isn't shot, I don't know why he thought it was. I drove it 75 miles to bring it home. It does misfire under load, but that could definitely be related to the high pressure oil leak, so I'm going to fix that and go from there.
I bought this truck to flip it- I don't need a flat bed. My plan is to fix the oil leak and the misfire, re-paint the flatbed, straighten the bumper, replace the seat, clean it up nice and list it for about $4200.
