Head gasket 1970 f250

Do I have to remove exhaust manifold in order to replace head gasket?

Thanks. The exhaust behind the manifold needs to be replaced. It's a 1970 and I was dreading those manifold bolts

Soak them with PB Blaster for a few days. Then, a small impact gun will help get them out without breaking.

I've been lucky so far. In all the engines I've done, I haven't encountered a stuck manifold bolt yet.

I would. The head is already heavy enough but more importantly having the manifold on there will make it awkward. Recipe for some "battle scars".
