BRIDGESTON APT-REVO tires: PETROL/ BIG MATT or anyone else who has them.

I have heard this tire mentioned a couple of times on here by some of the more senior users, I am looking at getting this tire HOWEVER upon calling about it, they told me it has no treadware warranty, cann anyone explain this? Not sure I want to put it on my EXPY without knowing, PETROL, you said this is a great tire, so you have them and anything you can say I would appreciate! What kind of mileage can I expect?
I HAVE to order them by noon today to have them installed by thursday. So again, a quick response from anyone that has any info on these tires would be greatly appreciated.
I looked at the treadpattern on the net, but have not seen one in person.. Thanks Again!

They lied...Revo's have 50000 mile warranty. It's stated on thier website even............. specs like this: 500 treadwear, traction A and temp B, don't get you a bad tire without a mileage warranty!

Treadwear warranties mean very little. A very minute number of people will ever file such a claim especially after using a tire for several years. If you balance, align, rotate, and properly inflate almost any quality truck tire it will last a long time. If you need quick information, head over to tirerack.com. They post consumer reviews for each of the tires they sell. The REVO is such a new tire, I doubt many have actually worn out a set.

Buzzard's right on - if you take care of a tire, it will easily outlast its warranty (barring manufacturer's defects).

Buzzard, You are right! Try as I might I have not yet worn out the set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo tires on my company pick up . . . I got them installed last November 2nd and have since Abused them (ask anyone who knows me how hard I am on tires! yes I rotate them, keep the pressure correct too but I charge plenty hard and I don't slow down much for corners either!)

I have, as of NOW put 43,732 miles on them and have an average of 7/32 of tread left (started with 15/32) so pretty much looks like I'll be getting 50-55k on them which is what I got on my last set of Michelin LTX AT . . . in other words, average folks will see 60k+ with ease.

Yes, the Revo's have a 50K mile warranty. Yes, few will ever claim it if the proper maintenance is done, there are however, such things as pot holes, vandals, rocks like arrow heads, etc. that can ruin a tire befor it's time, so a warranty is a good thing.

However, one of the more important things to consider is the temperature and traction ratings. A lot of name brand tires in the same size and load range have only B temp, B traction or worse yet, B temp C traction. Some even barely meet the load rating for the size. No one who drives a truck with a load or tow in hot weather, or at sustained high speed should forget they need to have for safety's sake Temp A or AA and traction B or A or AA. The temp thing should be obvious, the traction thing too much to go into here. Investigate it. www.tirerack.com is a good place to compare the specifications of each tire, and there others. It's important for economy and safety.

Hope this helps to keep the shiny side up.

Its a same that these tires don't come in a 33in version for the 17in RIms.

Or at least I'm unable to find them on TireRack or Google...

Let's see, how can I convince the wife that I need to get rid of my perfectly good Dueler AT's with around 30K miles on them in favor of the new REVO's.......HMMM.

tsdrallyer, I thought that the 50K mileage warranty only covered treadwear and manufacturer's defects, not road hazzards like you mention. Is the REVO's warranty different from most manufacturers' warranties?

Didnt know tire Shopping could be such fun!.. Lets see 4 new revo tires and alignment $650.00. What bites is the fact that they couldnt gurantee delivery before I left for the beach so now I have to rotate my existing tires for safety's sake then after the weekend ditch them completely in favor of the new revos when they come in. I am very much a stickler for a good tire, with my jeep I researched for 3 months before buying the tire that fit my needs, and then I stayed with that tire through 4 sets of tires..
So this is a big jump, but the tire I had on my jeep would not serve the Expy well.

P.s I love my wife, when I told her about buying these tires, and they were a bit more expensive than we had planned she said " Oh well if thats what works buy it! " Of course she also had a new motorcycle sitting in the driveway for me back in June When I came home from work.MArriage is wonderul huh?

Mick - sit tight. I wrote Bridgestone and told them about the interest we have in bigger sizes for 17s. They haven't gotten back to me, but I've sent 3 emails so far.

You guys will be the first to know whenever they get back to me.
