Low Mileage on 2003 EB Expy
Bought a new Eb Expy in March and never got over 13 mpg. Called several sources and all agreed to wait for more miles. I now have 5000 and am stilll getting 13 MPG. Maybe 13.5 once or twice. Fixing to take it in and see what they say, but I know I've read from you guys of getting 17 or 18 right away. Would appreciate any advice/knowledge before dealing with the dealer.

I have a '99 5.4L with a 3.73 rear and the best I ever got on the highway trip is 14.5.I do however maintain an average of 70 MPH.
Anyone who can get 18 MPG with a 5.4L is very lucky.
I average city/highway according to the read of the computer around 13.6.

Gads. I'm getting 15.6 mpg in combined city/highway driving. Can top 17 on highway alone with wife, kid and luggage for a weekend trip. 2WD only - haven't tried it in A4WD tet - no reason to.
No mods at all. 5.4L, 3.73.

'03 EB 5.4 4x4: 6800 miles, best 15.8; worst 11.6
gets about 13.5 in town, easily gets 15.0+ hiway
Don't care what anyone else thinks, my wife will never give up the power rear seats, and the heated/cooled front seats.
second row chairs kind of cheesy, tho; but it sure is easy to get to the back seat through them.
