Ky Chapter Leader Nominations/Volunteers.

I am going to resign as the Chapter Leader for the KY guys.

Sorry guys, but I have too much on my plate, and maybe someone else can do a bit more with the group than I can; that is my intent at least.
As John and Ryan both have had to do in the past, I am seceding this post, to deal with life and personal issues. However, in my time as CL, I've loved every minute of it, and at least we organized 1 meet.
I can still attend meets (Within reasonable distance) but I sincerely need my load lightened.
Hope you guys understand-

Here's a couple links to refer to if you have any questions:

Also, since this is official chapter business, participation in this thread is limited to Kentucky Chapter members and Chapter Moderators only.
-Wes

I understand. It really isn't that much to do, but it is something else on your plate that you need to take time to do. Wes, you did a good job. I do wish there was more involvement from others that are on FTE here in Ky, but, this is a website that caters to a lot of folks for many different reasons, and I respect that too.

Very true.

I just need less to deal with, and let's face it, putting meets together, attending them, etc all takes time, money and effort.

Just figure it's time to pass the torch, and move along.

It is. I mean, I don't care to drop by for a cookout, etc...Just time to move on.

Seems the position is about like stepping on fly paper, when it comes to letting it go...lmao

I've given this a lot of thought.

Since no one else is knocking down the door, I'll throw my name in the hat.

(Is there a way to force Wes to stay in office? What do the FTE rules say about that?)

Don't know about forcing Wes to stay, but I support your nomination!

I think if you offer him a bribe, that might work!

I agreed to stay on and help out until someone new came to office. And no one has so far.

I'll second this motion.

George, I really did like being the CL...Lotta great guys on here;

I just got into too much at once (Things are smoothing out again thank god) but let's face it...It's the same 3-4 dudes EVERY month, the same exact guys that actually give a damn about ACTUALLY putting wheels to the tarmac and driving 1-2 hours ONE WAY to meet up for a couple hours.

Given things are smoothing out again, I'd reconsider the position IF there was a bit more...Participation.

But let's face it, the KY chapter has 1 foot in the grave and one on a banana peel.

I'll support Ken as the CL; and if he backs out, I guess I'd just keep on keeping on.

Just irks me that people want big, awesome meets; yet can't dedicate an evening every couple months (Not talking about the "Usual" guys, as they've already explained themselves.

that's my .02 USD, take it or leave it.

I understand your frustration, I would have no problem meeting others after my truck gets put back together.

I also support Ken.

So, where are we at, guys? Do we have a new nominee? Or, is Wesley staying on?

Hard to say. The Ky Chapter has been very quiet for a while now.

You tell me...

It seems Ken won the voting, but didn't accept?

I've kinda gotten a handle on things, but as with you I'm unsure of where things stand. Maybe you can make a decision for us?

Maybe Wesley stays in position since he has a handle on things right now and Ken is co-captain to step in when needed?
Just throwing out a suggestion...
