picked up a few Fords over the weekend..
a 70 maverick, a 77 ranchero gt, but the one I like the most
is this 56 F100...
its been sitting in the same spot since about 1969,
luckily Im in Tucson, so the rust on the truck is still very minimal..
the motor is in the guys shed...out of the truck.
Its original paint and a Ford O Matic F100 . Hope to get it moved
outta there this week to my shop or house to at least get it cleaned
out get a better idea of what Im working with.
I can picture it with a late model Lightning motor in it
There wasn't a lot of auto trans put in these trucks. So I see that as a cool
factor even though I would rather have a manual in anything I drive.
So I am just saying that if resale is a part of her future ya would prolly get
a much better price with the Y block and slush box left in it. It did have a
V8 in it? Or an I6? I think ya could get the slush box with either engine.
