To those who have been using L and L headers

Is it common for the L and L fenderwell exit headers to turn blue after running them? Or am I running too lean?

To those who have been using L and L headers

They are getting hot and the metal is changing, unless they warp and lose their seal its totally normal.

To those who have been using L and L headers

I have seen alot of them turn blue. I also know that this somtimes can come from running to lean. Mine turned blue on the pulling truck as soon as we fired it up and sure enough it was running lean.

To those who have been using L and L headers

Mine didnt turn blue until I had a hard run through the mud of about 40 seconds at W.O.T. so I think it will be ok. Thanks for the replys.

Hmmm, mine started bluing within five minutes of first being ran. I'm sure it wasn't leaned out. My eyes were watering from the exhaust fumes. Definetely rich.

To those who have been using L and L headers

another question for ya guys.

since i have a 89 efi 460 l and l wont guarantee a fit since i have to use the efi headers due to different ports in the heads. with 3 inch body and 6 inch suspention do you guys think they would fit? which ones? fenderwell or chasis headers?

To those who have been using L and L headers

I have about 2 inches of suspension lift right now on my 78.

I would have been able to use my chassis exit headers if I had a bigger lift, but they just barely cleared the front driveshaft leaving no room for suspension compression.
