My Dad was diagnosed with terminal Cancer days before we left for the trip. I had the Dr keep the info from him until we returned home. I remember the Doctor saying to me "have fun on your trip and enjoy yourselves" I can honestly say it was a trip of a lifetime with my Dad.
Ye the bed was fixed mounted to the frame rails and I had a 8,000 lb winch and LONG ramps. Going down the road it looked like the real deal.
It was a slow beast but it was bullet proof! I remember being tired of driving and increasing speeds, I think maybe we were doing 60 MPH and the Tach was near 4,000 rpms! Never used a quart of oil down and back.
I sold it to a heart surgeon in Denver Co in 2002

Not a lot of pics but will take some tomorrow of the interior
Ok. Here's a few of mine. Its my first truck/vehicle. I got it back in December. Its a 2002 F250 XLT 4x4 CC SB white with tan cloth interior, 7.3 Powerstroke with over 270,000 miles on it, but still running strong. Its got WeatherTech floor liners, a Pioneer 700BT head unit, Kicker door speakers along with 2 subs, both with individual amps, Recon Smoked and LED cab lights, 3rd brake light, and interior lights, 05 grille with billet inserts, Westin bull bar, chrome trim, fender flares, 2-3 inch lift with 285/75R16 Duratracs on stock rims. It also has a 4in exhaust w/muffler, Glowshift gauges, Ts 6-pos chip, RiffRaff's 6637 intake, HPX, and the foil delete mod. Hope you guys like it.

And now some more recent ones with the new lights.

I had an '87 prior to this one for nine years when I was in an accident. That truck was in great shape but I decided it wasn't worth putting the money back into so I sold that on eBay to a guy in Michigan who came down and trailered it home with a Chevy. I still don't know if he made it, LOL!!
That started my search and I found this 2002 in Columbus at a Toyota dealership. After a few days of banter on the phone I drove down and fell in love with it and brought her home.
That was in 2003 and she had 6464 miles when I picked her up. Since then I have done a very long, slow build-up and when I began listing all the upgrades; it is a bigger list than I thought!!
2002 F-250 XLT 4x4 5.4L, supercab, longbed. Raceline wheels with Nitto Mud Grappler M/T tires, Powerslot Cryo rotors, Stainless brake lines, Stainless Gibson headers (in reality, the only upgrade I regret b/c the underhood noise is MUCH louder), custom stainless dual 2.5" exhaust with MBRP stainless tips. Pioneer DVD, custom 10" sub box behind seat (build is on FTE), stainless brush guard, brake control box, custom overhead console (build is on FTE), CB.

Back Rack, Remote start/alarm, jimmijammers, 3-gauge a-pillar pod with Water temp, Trans temp and Oil pressure gauges.
Many of you may remember that in August of 2011 this truck was stolen from the parking lot at my work. Insurance won't pay for 21 days. I filed the paperwork after 19 days for insurance to cut me a check and the next night I got a call from Cleveland PD that they found it.
She was on blocks, tires gone, tailgate, battery, step boards, brake control box, catalytic converter was cut out, etc. The bed was damaged and so was much of the sheetmetal (there's more). But insurance would not total it. By the time all was said and done insurance saved less than $600 from repairing the truck compared to what they would have paid me out.
Due to all of that, I ended up buying a 2009 bed and a 2010 tailgate with the rear step and camera. I then found a 2005 front end so I upgraded the grille, headlights and bumper!! That was a great upgrade and nearly a wash after I sold all the 2002 parts!!
I can't find a pic on this computer of when I first got it. I used to have one as my avatar on here but if I find it later I will add it!
Here is what she looked like the day I arrived at the impound (Sept. 2011)

Here are some more recent pics:

After 11 years of ridiculously dependable service, I am looking to let her go! We have needed a Crew Cab for a few years now...
