Power Steering Pump Pulley
How would you get the pulley off of a 1986 f-250 power steering pump. Can you please help.

I believe it is pressed on. Go down to the local parts store and rent a puller.

There is a special puller to remove and install the pulley. If you don't use the correct puller you can destroy the pulley. Most parts stores rent them or you can buy one for around $20.

The puller grabs the pulley in that groove on the snout, and then pushes on the center to get it off.

Don't try to use a gear puller (3-jaw, etc.) - you'll just do damage and annoy yourself. You have to use the PS pulley puller or it'll never come off.
