The Beast Lives!!!!

I am sooo excited! I just fired my truck for the first time! I've had the truck for a little over a year and just recently went to work on it. Two solid months of work has finally paid off. The 460 went in about a month ago then it was "hurry up and wait" while my headers were on backorder. They finally showed up Monday (a week early) then it became a mad thrash to get things together. It fired right up. Pretty amazing considering the rats nest of wiring I had to sort out thanks to a PO. I was also worried about the 460 since the guy I got it from (same guy as the truck) said the guy he bought it from said it was making noises. I pulled it apart and everthing looked OK. In fact it appears to have very low mileage, so in it went. Well, no knocking, good oil pressure, and it's EXTREMELY responsive. I was sweatin' that one.

I do have a couple issues but nothing too major. The water pump leaks and the ALT light is on. Piece of cake. All in all, I'm happy. Now it's time to get the brake lines ran and then it's off to the exhaust then alignment shop Saturday.

Thanks for letting me ramble!! Everyone here at FTE has been a big help!

You sound like a happy man. Then end is always in sight and working on trucks is a pure joy. But actually getting in running and 98% complete. I can't wait to see what that feels like. Congrats.
