Stock F100 1956 rear axel pinon angle anyone?

Hey guys I need to know the pinon angle of a stock Dana 44.

I would be interested in the difference in angle between the spring perches and the yoke if it comes from a stock untouched stock Dana 44.

Are there anyone that has a loose stock rear Dana 44 from a midfifty F100 I would be thrilled to get those measurements

It should be the same as the tilt of the engine. The pinion should be parallel to the transmission output shaft.

With the carb dead-level, measure the angle of the output shaft.

I know that doesn't answer the question, but it might help you figure it out.

Thanks guy!!

Yes I know the the theory behind finding the angle but the thing is I have a bare frame trying to mockup the rearaxel and just wanted to tack weld the perches in place. The engine is out of the frame and the trans is on the floor, The front and rear engine mounts (rubber) was pretty much shoot so I couldn´t really relly on that setup when measuring trans angle.

I was also interested in if the trans was initially preset but as 48ATOY states that doesn´t seems to be the case for the F1.

I will probably need to order some new engine mounts and assemble the engine and trans again to see what the angle turnes out to.

If anyone else has some numbers to share, I would appreciated all the info I can get.

Thanks
