Stuck on ball hitch
I know this sounds pathetic but i cannot get the ball hitch off of my truck. That thing is on there and i cant get it loose because the ball keeps turning when i try to break the nut loose. I have tried several ways to keep the ball still but they don't hold it enough for me to get the nut loose. I dont care about keeping the hitch i am trying to put a smaller one on and don't need it so if i have to break it to get it off i don't care.

Heat the nut with a torch and when cherry red zip it off with an impact gun and proper sized socket. If you don't have the means to do this take it to a shop and hand a mechanic a $20 to take care of it for you.

glad you got it off. mine was stuck ...rusted on the bumper. i used a rock jammed in there to prevent the entire ball from turning. a socket breaker bar and pipe combo to get the nut to turn did the trick. now it only goes back on when i need it!
