'98 EB - Rt. rear door power lock makes a buzzing noise when locking/unlocking?
Hi,
When I use the remote to lock/unlock the door the motor (or whatever it is called) that pops the door lock litterally makes a loud buzzing sound! Assuming that the motor is going bad, I opened the door panel, but it seems that the motor is attached indside the door with some sort of a rivet/clamp (hard to see inside with a litttle mirror). Does anyone know what the problem may be and how to remove the locking mechanism motor?

The motor is bad, and you have to drill out the rivet. The new motor comes with the bracket and a threaded stud to go where the rivet was. You will need a nut, I think it is a 10mm. Remove the door handle while installing, it will make it easier for you. The same thing happened to my front pass. door.............
