Hey all,
I was out the other nite having fun in my ride, driving thru the crick, mud & hay field around my house......and now I'm hearing a weird buzzing sorta noise, don't know where it's coming from or what it is...........can ya's help?????????
Could be the exhaust touching a metal part or the frame. Hard to tell by your description. I'd recommend heading toward the source and trying to isolate exactly where it is originating.
Nope, can't have too much fun. You can pay too much for it sometimes.
Have you checked your radiator core for straw or twigs, which might be hitting fan blades? I've had that happen a couple of times.
Another time recently after some desert offroading and high speed gravel driving I had a rattlesnake kind of buzz under the truck. Knowing it COULD be a rattler, I waited until daylight and then very carefull looked under the truck. Eventually found a bunch of small pebbles between the muffler and the heat sheild. Washed out same with a hose, and all is now well.
Its constant....and it I'm hearing it from the inside, if you know what I mean, it does change with acceleration,& it's running perfect. I was thinking maybe I got water somewhere there shouldn't be, I did hit it quite hard. And I made some pretty impressive crop circles....LOL
Apparently I didn't do too much damage, ol farmer Steve got some pretty nice round bales out of that field today....so farmers don't take offense, I did it the night before a day long of rain so it went unnoticed.......LMAO
