wont go outta park?
ok i have a 97 expedition my problem is it wont go out of park while running,but will when not running,so to get it to move i have to put the key foward put it in neutral then start it then it will move but as soon as i put it in park it wont come back out again, im thinking its that safety thing where you have to apply the brakes to get out of park, and my brake lights dont work......i am thinking they are related and its probably some kinda pressure switch that works both of them.....any suggestions? thanks in advance

i looked at the brake light fuse and it was good so where is the switch located? and will this also fix the other outta park problem?

The brakelight switch is on the brake pedal arm. It has a green and a green with red wire going to it.
If the brakelights dont work you wont be able to shift out of park.
Let us know what you find
