I took my Expy to the store and the low fuel warning was on, I have no idea as to how long it had been on. But I got to the store, went in and came out the truck started fine, and as I started to back up it died. I tried to start it back up and it would sputter then die. I knew I was out of gas so I went and bought a gas can and put three gallons of gas into the vehicle, it kept doing the same thing sputter then die. I tried turning the key on and off then trying to start it but no luck. I towed it back to my house, today I checked the relays and fuses all seemed to be ok, I checked the plug to the pump and there was power there. Could I have fried the pump?? Any ideas or help would be much appreciated. I have also checked the fitting on the fuel rail and there is no pressure there.

Are you sure you read pump power and not fuel gauge power at the plug?
The plug has 4 wires and i was pretty sure that three of the wires had power to them. I'll hook the battery back up and turn the ignition to the on position and check again. Just to be sure. I'll post the results.
So here are the results, Green and black wire 6.92 volts, yellow and black 11.37, didn't quite understand this one but 321.5 on the red and black wire it was dark so could have been 32.15.
According to the wiring diagram I have, there should be yellow/white and a black/orange wires for the fuel level sender and pink/black and black wires for the fuel pump.
Update, I bought a new fuel pump, replaced it and it works now. It would be nice if car manufacturers would put an access panel on the floor board, to make it easier to get to these pumps. Oh well $350 later and a days work on it isn't too bad. Just glad to be back up and running.
