Well I picked up my truck 2013F150 on Friday and so far so good, they ended up putting a crankshaft pulse sensor and that fixed it (I HOPE). It was at the dealership for 30 days, now I am going after Ford to reimburse for my July payment!!!!
"Here is the latest on my 2013 F150 5.0 (kinda long, sorry)
We were leaving for Florida on july 3rd. On july 2nd my truck died at a stop sign, the low oil pressure switch came on right before it died, oil was ok. Called Ford roadside & dealership, about 10 min before tow truck got there it started, still had it towed in. Picked up on Wed July 3rd, did my running around for about 3 hrs, came out from the store and truck wouldn't start, just cranks like its out of gas, its 5:00 we were leaving at 7, called dealership and they said cal roadside again and they would get me a loaner to take to Florida, while on the phone with them it started, hung up with them and drove to dealership, told them to drive it while i'm on vacation and told them "I would call the following week. Called the following Tue and tyey said it died while driving on the interstate, no warning and still no check engine light!!!!! Finally Ford said to put computer in it, did that and it died before it got off the lot, check engine light came on this time, code read something like PCM( computer). Still couldn't figure anything out, then they tried a new fuel pump, died again, on Thursday they put a fuel pump motor module(???) in it, guess what, yep it died again!!!! Got a Engineer/technition coming to look at it on Monday.
Been talking to Ford Customer Service, told them I want my truck or a new truck just like mine!!! Been in the shop for over 3 weeks and it has quit running 5 times!!!
I don't know if it being a lease makes a difference or not but i'm looking at the lemon laws in the state!!!
Here's the kicker, I been working for Ford for 15 yrs at a assembly plant(no, not a F150 plant) lol!!!!!
What do you all think???"
Because they had my truck in the Ford Dealership for the whole month of July for a problem that Ford mechanics could not fix till a Ford Engineer tech came down and looked at it!!!!!

Seeing as you are leasing, the only way I see the dealer or Ford owing you a month of lease payments, are if they did not put you in a rental full-sized-truck to drive while they fix yours.
But……..when you think about it since it's a lease (They are actually PAYING) you if you are putting free miles on a rental for 30 days and not using up miles you may be charged for on your leased vehicle.

OK, I bought my truck for a reason, I also bought a topper to put on it for my vacation trip to Florida, yes they did give me a loaner Ford Explorer for the whole time my truck was in the shop and I appreciate that, but like I said I bought my truck for a reason and the Explorer did not do any justice for our trip, it was very cramped with 5 people and all of our stuff!!!! And yes I did put all the miles on the loaner but I WANTED MY TRUCK!!!!! And how do you figure that since its a lease that they are paying???
I have owned a truck since I bought my 1st new Ranger in 1986 because I wanted a truck!!! Being without my truck was a real inconvenience for me!! Even the Ford service rep said I should be reimbursed!!!
This is interesting. About 3 months ago, I came out to start my truck (2013 F150) and the key FOB wouldn't unlock the doors. In fact, I couldn't get it to do anything. Once, I got in the truck, it started just fine. No problems until this morning.
This morning I was on my way to work and the truck suddenly died at a stop light and the low oil pressure light was on. The oil pressure was fine. The truck cranked right back up and drove on into work. I only have 7K miles on my truck. So it is not quite due for an oil change yet. I do need to go on about a 200 mile trip this weekend and I'm a little leery of it since reading this post.
So in the end, what did they say was causing this all to go wrong? What is the recommended Resolution/ fix? I ask because when I first got my truck I was rolling down the road and all the sudden my truck just shut down, I rolled to a stop put it in park and it started, it hasn't happened since, but it might as it happened once and then here ford goes with process of elimination again, I don't have time for that, my truck is my business
