seen alot of posts on this subject what fits a 54 ford f-250 they say the bed is wider then a f-100 is that so ??? that mean that would make the front bed panel and the tailgate wider then a front panel and a tailgate off of a f-100 ???? right . and on like the brake system is the master cylinder and or wheel cylinders and etc differnt on a 54 f-250 as to a f-100 ??? . cause i may be on the look out for a good used front bed panel for a 53-56 ford f-250 truck . i think my bottom lip is all gone . not pulled it out yet but if so like to get the word out .

Yes the front panel and tailgate are wider. Mid-Fifty and others sells them. Mid-Fifty's address is: Home - Mid Fifty F-100 Parts A good sheet metal could make the front panel using your old one as a model. I had it done for my '54.
I am not sure about the brake differences tween a 100 and 250....
Obvious differences are the drums, 8 lug vs 5 lug. The 54/55 shop manual shows differences in the brake pads as well. Would need a parts catalog (or Numbers Dummy...the next best thing) to verify but I believe the MC and WC's are different as well. MC and WC rebuild kits and replacements are available. If your drums are shot then you have to work a bit harder.
