Got the hood I so badly needed, a 66 core support with only 1 small spot of rust, '66 tailgate, couple of '66 inner fenders, battrery trays and other stuff. Also got a pwr steering box w/pitman arm finally! Almost bought a complete front disk brake twin I-beam setup but didn't, now I wish I had... But money was getting tight.
And after all these years FINALLY got me a sheet metal brake. Not a pan brake like I wanted, but it's a 4' brake!

Reason: pointing out the year
There were/are still lots of Slick parts. More than I expected! Quite a few hoods, front valance panels, lots of doors, fenders, several correct taligates, inner fenders, and oh yes cabs! Even a few styleside SHORTBEDS! Could'a bought a decent shortbed with a good floor (better than the one I have) for a decent price but only brought a small trailer so could't get it home
And of course all the little odds and ends...
The swap meet guys know what this stuff is worth so there's no "deals" if you will. Best deal I got was probably on the battery trays. And I'm still not sure why. If you need slick parts, they're probably here. Just not cheap
Lots of 61-66 trucks in the show also!
I will take pics tomorrow, today was shopping day.
Quite a few 68-72, and 73-79 trucks and parts too....
Overall I'm very happy. Wallet is alot lighter but that's part of the game
Oh, there's a fat fendered (56 I think from memory) with a Roush motor in it. Damn. Just damn...
Man I wish I coulda made it this year! I've been wanting to get a "correct"tailgate for my '66. Just as well, though. The reason I'm not there is because I'm working extra topay some bills. Would of spent money I didn't have. Patience......patience......
Good scores for you, though. I like looking at other people's trucks almost as much as I like driving mine.
Hey Randy, I debated taking a car trailer and didn't, so no bed for me. Oh well, saved me a few bucks for other stuff.
I bought some other stuff as well but didn't take pics of it all. I'll show them as time goes on.
The worst deal I got? Paying 60 bucks for that damn power steering firewall bracket.

Let's turn that into some "lemonade"......you probably would have spent at least $60 in gas driving around from salvage yard to salvage yard looking for one and still have no guarantee that you'd find it! Sometimes it's worth it to pay a little extra for convenience.
