A fellow FTE'r (Vegas123) and I took a road trip to Chico early Saturday morning to pick up 48-50 F1 parts from a young kid building a rat-rod. We came home with some good stuff (check the classifieds). We got rear fenders, front clip, running boards, hood and a front bumper.
We also pulled over at an old gas station in Orland, CA.
Hey Ilya,
It looks like you got all the good stuff - what about poor Vegas?
What did he get? You got a surprising amount of loot in the back of that Toyota.
He was after the front fenders, but they're not as good as he wanted them. We actually went in on the parts together. I don't have the room at my place to store the parts and he doesn't have the experience in selling them.
Even as beat up as they are it is better to see them saved and for sale than seeing them cut to pieces and the hood with a spittoon air cleaner sticking out of a big hole in it on some "rat rod".
