Picked up a bed today

Found a bed today in Wickenburg AZ today. It is in a lot better condition then the bed that I have. I have a question, this bed has tie downs on both sides and the middle. They are riveted on as if they were put on at the factory. I don't recall my 48 bed having these. Did the 48 bed have tie downs?

Looks like a nice bed, congratulations! Tie downs were not factory on any F=1's to my knowledge. I have a long time friend in Prescott. I should get out there someday.

I have never seen tie downs on any 48's like these it's just the rivets that got me wondering, I just don't know many guys that would rivet tie downs on instead of bolts. I was lucky to find this except for a few spots in the floor it's in great shape. I guess that my old bed will be going up for sale.

I agree that they were not factory but when I found my F1, way back in '75, it had what look like the same type of tie downs that you have. Mine were installed on the inside on the upper angled part. I would use them again if I could find a couple more, as some are broken.
