Willie here, hailing from Denver, CO. I am currently building a 38 Ford 1/2 ton. I know its not the run of the mill mid-late 60's F series I once wanted but...I do plan on a beefy 390 for it since I had half a dozen blocks and head sets laying round. Just figured I would open up to the experts, throw my plans out there and see what kind of input I could get. The truck is going to be totally gone through and basically turned into a fenderless, chopped, and slammed beastly. The following are things that must be in place on this truck: 9' rearend, toploader or TKO 600, hot 390 ci FE...everything else I can work around until I find what I am lookin for. Plans for the FE...virgin block or I have one bored .030 over. Not sure which one yet. I want to do the engine basically stage one. Planning a C8AX-6250-C cam, Edelbrock RPM Performer Intake, and a Mighty Demon 750cfm carb. I have some other bells and whistles I am throwing in there to make it all work, dual springs, crane cams shaft mount aluminum rocker kit, pushrods, MSD dizzy and 6AL ignition control, and of course, lake style headers with caps (plumbed out the back by 2.25 duals when caps are on).

I am open to suggestions, insights, concerns, anything.
