The Ford/Helm CD is year-specific, but covers ALL trucks & vans in '96, and has MUCH more info than Chilton's or Haynes. Plus, you can get it delivered for less than either of the printed ones at a store. Just check the classifieds.

The Helm manuals are unequaled.
I needed to know a couple things about my car. The cheap book I wasted my money on told me to "take it to a qualified mechanic".
Figured it out without the book.
Tried to look up another procedure later on. "This repair is beyond the scope of this manual"
Burned that book.
Bought the Helm manual.
