302 to 351m
hello,
I am new here and this is my first tread.
What I would like to know is any advice (tech. or opinions) about a 302/351m swap. I have an 83' bronco with a perfectly good 302 and an 81' bronco with a perfectly good 351m and good c6 tranny. the one in the 83' needs new trorc converter. I believe the 351m w/ trans will swap just fine, but not sure... by the way, you might wounder what is wrong with the 81', well i just bought it on ebay for $160 w/ brand new 31-10.50-r51's and runs but body and frame is rusted to pieces.
Also carb an 83' is newly rebuilt 2bl. will it swap from 302 to 351m.
Again I believe it will but not sure(I think they are the same carbs)

Well, may I welcome you.
It shoud'nt be much trouble. Since the 81-86 broncos did'nt change much through the years, everything should be straight forward. I don't know if the motor mounts are the same between the 302 and 351m though. Sounds like a nice swap. Good luck.

I put a 1974 302 carb on my 1978 351M and tore out most of the vacuum lines and emissions stuff. It ran ALOT better. But those were 70's engines, don't know about 80's engines with their emissions. Motor mounts are different too.
