slamin' doors....

I know the latches on my 59 are old, but i've lubed them and they appear to line up with their recievers. So why do the doors need to be slammed to latch them. I hate slammin' doors, especially in the all metal cab. I mean they need to be slammed to latch, my little girl has a hard time closing the door.
Any fixes here....or wear ear plugs.

slamin' doors....

Hi Shaune,

Have you recently replaced the rubber weatherstrip around the doors? Is yes, you may have to adjust the doors.

If your stiker plate and rotar (also adjustable) are in good working condition and properly aligned, it sounds like your doors may be in need of re-alignment. Check to see if the doors are hitting anywhere, especially along the bottom on the inner "step" .

I hope this helps.
