I originally was going to go with just the normal OEM one piece headlights on my 01 excursion, but now with the theme I'm going with on the exterior, my bumpers and grille will be black instead of chrome like I was going to do, so I want the one piece headlights with the black housing. Are all the Harley headlights the same style, or do they make different looking ones? I've seen some with different looking black housing headlights, not sure if they were factory or aftermarket. I think I want to go with OEM though for quality, unless you guys have first hand experience with quality aftermarket ones (no leaking moisture fogging up yellowing etc).
I'm assuming I'll need the 05+ header panel too to work with the newer headlights and grille. I'm on the hunt for a 2011-12 front and rear painted bumper too. I like how this looks, and since I'll be painting it, I think if I have my welder guy weld in some metal to fill the slight gap at the lower corners of the grille, then repaint, it would look awesome.
Can't go wrong with OEM. Riffraff has them here Riffraff Diesel: 05' Ford OEM Headlights . You don't need a new header panel if you don't mind cutting on your current one. There's a bunch of threads on this. You can go either way. I know there are a few different places that have the whole front end kits. Here's one. Full 07 Front End Conversion for 99-04 Ford Super Duty/Excursion I'm not sure if they give you the option of Harley lights and no bumper but it'd be worth a shot to ask I guess. Hope that helps.
Are the 08-10 and 11-12 rear bumpers exactly the same? They look to be, just confirming. I'm gonna search eBay/Craigslist for a take off from a work truck or something. I'll have to drill the back up sensors in unless I find one with them already
