COTE-9A427-A .. Heat Riser Valve / Obsolete

Applications: 1957/64 F100/700 292 2V.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Heat riser valves are notorious for getting stuck. Some people gut them by removing the flapper, or you might be able to free it up with penetrating oil.

Heat riser valves work well in cold winter months, but other seasons, are just about worthless.

COAE = Passenger Car / COTE = Truck.

If the heat riser was the same, the part numbers would be the same, but who knows? You might have a car 292 in your truck.

Curious why the heat riser valve would be different for a car and a truck though?

Different exhaust manifolds. Heat riser for 292 truck will fit both regular and Rams Horn manifolds. What car has Rams Horns? None.
