1965 inner fender apron
maybe you could find a good donor
Don't hesitate asking questions, there is an abundance of knowledgable and helpful members. Looking forward to your input and post pic's when and if you can!! Again welcome!Suggest check with a couple welding shops, and autobody shops, ask if the inner fender can be repaired; if so, how much, then decide whether to repair or replace. Not too often have I seen inner fenders on auction, if it appears seller is parting out his/her 61-66 Ford truck suggest email and inquire. With ebay one can search for particular items, recieve daily emails when simular/same items are place on auction, and also narrow search close to home. Purchased a hood this way, seller lived with 40 miles.
Fortunately, know couple buddys who are/have restored their classic vehicles and seen where a good auto body person can work miracles. I needed an inner fender repaired and got quotes from both weld and autobody shop and fiqured since it's an inner fender I would go with the welding shop because they were alot cheaper.
I have 2 65's and each had a different style inner fender. The 65 Std. cab the inner fender had more of a curve to them; whereas, with the 65 CC the inner fenders have more of an angle to them. Suspect has more to do with the month of production than whether or not it's a std or custom cab?
Applications: 1965/66 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F100 4WD
No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has the right side.
/ Green Sales has 2 left sides.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1965/66 Custom or Standard Cabs have nothing to do with inner fender aprons. These trucks are over 40 years old, so who knows if the original parts are present?
1965 F100/250 4WD, 1965/66 F350/700, 1966 F250 4WD use different aprons.
1965/66 F100/250 2WD's, 1966 F100 4WD's have coil spring front suspension, use the same cabs and Styleside beds.
All other 1965/66 F100/350's have a cab step, front leaf springs and if Stylesides, use the 1957/60 "wrong beds" so called because the bed lines don't match the cab lines.
