Welcome to FTE! There are several ways to do this. All based on your skills, budget and plans for this truck. Lay out a budget and honestly evaluate what you expect from this truck. Then determine what you will do yourself and what you will pay someone else to do. Plan carefully before you do anything else. Keep in mind that Uni's in good condition are not common and we all ask that you do not hot rod a unspoiled original. Of course its your truck to do with as you please. The big options are a complete frame swap to a two or four wheel drive late model frame, a clip using GM, Ford or Dodge frames. There are also many aftermarket IFS systems using Ford or Dodge parts on an aftermarket crossmember. Others retain the straight axle and add disk brakes and Toyota steering. Many just fix and repair the existing systems already on the truck and drive it like that. So your options are unlimited right now, so make a plan, decide what you want the results to be and please post back.
If it's wandering check the toe.
Hears how to do it the cheap way. Get two 2x12 boards ~ 4 feet long lay them on the outside of the tire on the 2x end down on the ground so the 12 side is resting on the side wall. Next grab a helper and have them hold on board against the side wall and using a tape measure, measure the distance across the boards both behind the wheel and in front of the wheel. It should be set @ 1/8 inch difference. With the front being shorter that is toed in . this will help keep it from drifting.
