I've been trying to figure out how to remove/replace the little piece of chrome trim on cowl of the custom cab, and am having trouble. What's the best way to perform this task ???
Thanks for the reply. I can't reach them from there. The only way that I can find is through the hole in the firewall, but my meat-hooks are too big to fit in there.
The only way is through the kick panel holes. Remove the damper assembly and removed the door. You will have to stick your hand in the hole and feel for the fasteners. Removing the door provides for some extra arm room.
I had to do the same in order to smack out a few dings in the cowl just above the fender next to the hood.
I'm a-gonna try that. Never thought about taking out the damper !! Thanks for the tip. That's what makes this the BEST site around. I'll reply to post my success, and I will have it, oh yes I will.
Well boys- that's the way its done. Gotta take out the heater duct for better access, and she's a little tight on the drivers side, but it can be done! Thanks again, and keep on keepin on.
