intermittent brake shake
My 2000 v10 w/194K has developed an intermittent shake when braking. Severity from mild to severe. Had the problem earlier, suspected the rotors - replaced front rotors and pads with EB slotted rotors and Yellow Stuff pads. It was fine for a couple of months, now its back. Replaced the slide pins last night (they were in good shape, replaced anyway). Any ideas on where to look next?

Mine does this too.. I haven't changed anything yet, but its very intermittent... seems like its worst when I haven't used brakes for a while, like on cruise control on the interstate and I tap the brakes when someone pulls in front of me going down a hill.

brake shake
caliper pins are all new- were not sticking before- well lubed and no scoring. Checked all the bolts, including lug nuts- all torqued to spec.

Warped Rotors?
Edit: all of my superduty's have done this at one time or another. Under heavy braking it is much worse, but light braking it is just a vibrating annoyance.

I would think that warped rotors would shake all the time when braking. Since this is intermittent I suspect something else.

Braking from highway speeds to let's say an off ramp you may feel vibrations more. Or downhill braking.

Everything is tight in the front end, however I don't like the sound of the right front wheel bearing. Has anyone ever had a bad bearing cause this type of problem- seems possible. I will tear down and report back.

I guess that would eliminate the warped rotors as a likely cause and I would lean toward something being loose.
