Let us always remember those affected by 9/11/01
As with most everyone else...I remember the precise place I was on 9/11/01 when I got the news of the first plane into the tower...(similar to those that talk about when they heard JFK was shot)...
Let us remember those that have fallen on 9/11 and all of our military families doing what they do so we can enjoy the freedoms we do.
My flag is outside in rememberance of today's significance...May God Bless those that are not with us thru the events on the day of 9/11 as well as all of our military families that have lost loved ones in the war on terror since. I pray that our Lord continues to provide strength to the families that have suffered a loss thru these 9/11 attacks and works from within those that have such hatred towards the US to soften their hatred and allows us all to live together on this land that God created for us. I also ask our Lord to keep our military men and women safe as they continue the fight on terror over seas and to bring them all home safe to their families.
On this day here is one photo that I feel is quite fitting...
This is a photo of my girls at the Congressional Medal of Honor Museum on the USS Yorktown in Charlestown SC.
God Bless the USA.
I'm sure it will make an impression on the girls for years to come....
And I concur with your well wishes and memories of those that were murdered and those that voluntarily fled INTO the towers to help !
Maybe this anniversary will reawaken America to the fact that those idjuts have NOTHING to live for except to kill us, that is why politically correct is so incorrect !
GREAT PHOTO!!! I am certain your girls will remember the time, and also the message! I tried to rep you, but I need to spread it around some.. (I just don't do it often enough, I guess
)Are you still making trips out to Cypress?

I was working very hard as a telephone repairman and had a lot of trouble tickets to work on that day. I walked into our office and couldn't believe everyone was just sitting around watching TV. I mumbled under my breath, "Wish I could just sit around", and hurried back to my desk to clear out some tickets and get any new ones that may have come in. When I walked back out through the break room on my way to the door to leave, my boss said, "I think you should watch this". I sat for about 2 hours in disbelief as I witnessed the second plane crash into the tower and then watched in horror as the towers collapsed. My heart broke for all those who lost loved ones and the overwhelming feeling of respect for those who put themselves last and went in there to battle the blazes and rescue anyone they could find. While herds of people were running scared trying to get out as fast as they could, they were poised and committed. I know I'll never forget.
My prayer also is for those who haven't healed yet to find comfort in the words of our Lord and Savior:
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they will obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who suffer persecution for living righteously, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men revile you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for likewise they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:3-12)
May God continue to bless us all. Amen.
