Need some help, just bought a 2002 Excursion, had it 3 days, it just started making a weird noise on the drivers side sounds like the front tire. It is a shuffling noise. any comments?
All you need is a pair of needle-nose pliers to replace the hubs - please don't pay a shop to do this!!!!
Aftermarket hubs are available for MUCH cheaper than OE units, but you'll lose the 'auto' function. If you are inclined, here is some great info about the hubs. Read all the write-up's on guzzle's site and you'll learn ALOT about your new ride! Welcome to guzzle's 4x4 Autolock Hub Lubrication Maintenance Web Page
Welcome to the forum! Congrats on your Excursion. Let us know what you find out and be sure to let us know how we can help. What part of the country are you in?
thanks for the info, we actually have a friend that will be replacing the hubs for us. We are in the Midwest. So far we like the Excursion! Very roomy and runs really well!
