2000 xl 6cyl running issues

2000 f150 xl, 6cyl, manual trans, 2wd., 115k
Issue: It starts but takes a few cranks, then soon as you hit the gas it wants to die, if you f**k it a little it seems to get past, it drives ok but theres no power it feels very heavy, and the higher the gear the less it wants to go.

few new sensors all egr related, new tps, plugs, currently has cats cut off, I just replaced the camshaft sync due to the old one being chewed to hell. I know for fact i had tdc of #1 on compression stroke but im not sure if i have the exact 54 degrees. If it is off its not by much. can someone post up a few pictures of your cps installed so i can reference the angle. Ive searched everywhere and i cant find any photos.

i didnt see if there was o2 sensors in the rear but if there is they are still there, i only cut the upper cats off there is 2 on each downpipe so i dropped them to see if they were glogged, but o2s would give me this issue at startup. I also have the haynes book that tells me the install procedure but not true image of the actual sensor.

It's dark here and I have no light but I'll get one tomorrow if you need one. There are two different styles incorporated in the Cats on the Y pipe. I wanna say the first two are just behind the manifolds and have a round plug connector. Then there are two more on the cats with square connections. If you cut the cats your PCM is screwed. You need a certain small amount of backpressure to run correctly. What you should have done is leave your cats and added behind them with a reduced ID pipe.

Go to autozones website and you can look at the two different O2 sensors your truck requires.
I have the same truck you do, 2000 xl supercab with 4.2L and 5 speed manual. I bought it new and have 302,438 miles on mine and never had to change a part til now. The O2 malfunction codes have come on twice since and each time all you had to do is clean them. I don't see how you cut the cats and didn't see the sensors. The rear two are right there.....

I think if anything its a little off but i did everything as the manual says.

well i was told that it cant be off a little its either right or it would be way off, so i did some more research and see there is a large number or leaky intake gaskets, and the runner control issues.
