Just wanted to post up and give some background info. I purchased my 1966 F100 w/240 3 speed on my 16th birthday for $1300. After i purchased it and drove it daily for a year or so my dad and i decided to repaint it. We painted it Mack truck red.
Now 13 years later i've began a drivetrain swap to an '89 EFI 5.0 with an AOD transmission behind it. I rebuilt the motor back to stock minus the slight bore...making it a 306, flat top polyeuretic pistons, heads were decked and i cc'd the chambers. At this point in the project i have the motor painted with custom valve cover (made by me), motor mount pedistals moved back, motor in, grand marquis radiator mounted, and the headers are mounted. Next up will be tackling the fuel system, transmission crossmember, wiring and mounting the computer, then the drive shaft.
Being new to this forum i will try to upload build pics to my gallery...Hopefully i can get it to work!
Cool I was just over at The City Compost Site near Florence Market dropping off brush. I will IM you later. Maybe we can meet at Florence one time for a soda or something. Later
Yeah it's definately in the plans. Yeah, that's what they say...pretty much a bolt in other than the motor mounts. Not yet but after finally getting this motor in i'll probably drive it for a little while as I look for a decently priced interceptor CV IFS or wrecked interceptor.
