RABS, no rear brakes
I have a 1995 F250 (over 8500gvw) 4x2 with a 351w automatic transmission.
My rear brakes do not come on when I press the pedal normally. I know this because in the winter my front brakes lock up and no rear brakes. Makes it very hard backing up in snow down hill!
When I jack up the rear of the vehicle and place jack stands under the axle and run the truck in drive, put the brakes on sometimes they work, sometimes the wheels just keep turning. When they do work the ABS comes on and they pulsate, other time the brakes just stop the tire spin.
The pedal seems to be squishy and goes to the floor more then it ever has in the past.
I have bled the entire system, booster, RABS unit, right and left drums.
My parking brake works great!
My drum brakes have been adjusted up to the “touching point” of the drums
I have a new ABS/speed sensor ( my cruise also does not work, after Ford put the fuse in for the recall. Hopefully that will fix that other problem.)
From what I have read it seems to be the RABS unit on the frame. My truck is in very good shape and only has 100,000 miles on it. The RABS unit is not rusty.

if your brakes are squishy they have air still trapped in them, did you bleed the wheel farthest from master cylinder first. id bleed em again, and if that doesnt help you must have a worn out brake hose allowing to much expansion and flex that makes your brakes squishy too, or your line is clogged some where. if none of the above your rabs unit or rabs computer module is fudged. Could be a leaky master cylinder also...it could so many things i give up. lol but its probably one of the above.
