Down side, I need a neutral safety switch for my C-4, previous owner cut and wired it straight, I'm guessing it went bad so he thought better to omit it. My transmission was driven low of fluid, hope to god there's no damage, when I pulled the doghouse I should have checked it, I need a long dipstick and tube, but the later model vans with those are C-6 or AOD, the early and mid version had the short stick in the engine housing inside. Maybe I'll make a post with pictures and video of it's work as it progresses. I'm on a scavenger hunt for parts now, to budget upgrade the engine, serpentine pulley swap, G3 or G4 alternator, power steering pump, W7 heads, 4 barrel and intake. Then later I have to figure out which overdrive trans was manually controlled for adding to it, for way in the future.
Friggin thing is leaning pretty bad now, I have to build a leaf pack, anyone tossing out a set of leaf springs, I'll take them, as I'll want to chuck a few of my light ones and stick in some from a truck.
Not trying to hijack the thread (OH WAIT!).. lol jk, but I didn't go last night, it was raining. I'll be there in a 2005 Mustang GT in sonic blue tonight.
Look, they make a fortune off of tourists, so beware, if there is a question in your mind, don't do it because YES, they will pull you over and ticket you for it. Lifted trucks especially, and I'm in agreement there, all of the hack jobs out there, many lifted so high the only safe steering would be hydraulic, which isn't DOT legal so they piece together some steel that's on the brink of folding and call it good.
Blocks aren't nothin, the Z steering drag links are bigger issues, as a little shock to the steering direction, like a pothole would be enough to send you in any direction out of your control.
