1978 F150 w/300 won't start?

I have a 1978 F150 that I plan on getting road ready for when I get my class 5 license. Started fine a few years ago, but I went to start it and drive it around last week when I was out on my grandfathers property, but nothing happened. Cranked over once. Freshly overnight charged battery will give power to the cab for the first bit; Once I go to crank it over, all I heard was a single click then nothing, no power to anything. When I did get it to crank over, I stopped, pumped the gas, then the same thing happened, no power to anything.

Tried a few different batteries, one that would start an old hay truck, didn't work in the f150. Tried a different solenoid, still nothing.

Any idea's on what the problem could be? My dad said the starter was changed a few years before it was parked, so not sure if it would be a problem with the starter.

The ground would be the one coming from under the motor? Because I was told positive comes from the solenoid, if the cable doesn't fit on the terminals its on the wrong pretty much what the guy I talked to said at work.
