My spare was stolen and I need info on the different wheel sizes ford uses. It seems on the 2000, the parts department shows 12mm and 14mm (from memory) for most of the different wheel sizes. Is the 12mm for the 2x4, and the 14mm for the 4x4? or is the difference between the LTD and EB? Will I screw something up if I use the wrong one (assuming it fits)? Thanks for any help!
The 12mm studs were used prior to very early 2000. Hence, if your vehicle is a 2000 model built in late 1999, then you most likely have the 12mm studs. I'd say get a spare with the same diameter holes as the other wheels...just measure with a caliper.
How do you think they stole it? I would have thought it would be tough to do -- I guess they had the same rod. I wonder if there is a way to block the access hole in the rear -- or lock it with a chain below. Anyone got any ideas?
