Well I decided to stick with my cable company for tv. I called and told them I was thinking of switching and they lowered my bill by $30 and they gave me an extra 20+ channels. Some of which were movie channels. So I am satisfied with that for know.
Wow, that's a good deal. How long does that last? I wish I could do the same with our power company, worthless SOB's keep raising the price and we have no other choice in the matter, unless we don't want electricity.

Yeah I was surprised they did all that. He didn't even hesitate about it. He said it would last about a year. So when the bill goes up I am just gonna call and threaten to switch again and see what happens. Yeah the electric companies have a guy by the you know what!! Which sucks!!

We could be Lee, but there is a Co-Op that has a monopoly on the area, The closest Xcel lines are 1 1/2 miles away, as far as I know.

You must be pretty close to where they wanted to put that big high line wire a few years ago?

We cut a Comcast line in a back yard on Monday, they are only buried 2"-6". I found that pretty amazing. You'd think they woud want to bury them at least a foot to prevent accidental cutting of the line. Good news is the homeowner is getting a new line to their house and a new modem out of the deal, I guess their internet service has sucked ever since they moved in, and it is due to old, buried cable.

Back in 1998 I worked for an enviromental company, and me and another guy an an engineer had to go out and dig holes in the middle of the river to check the soil for contamination before they did the projected path. Not a bad day accept for it was Dec 2. A little cold.

Who the heck would pay $14.99 for that? Nice find though David

Hey I was just popping in to say thank you very much to Dave for finding my rattle/thump/shudder. Maybe not a big deal after all but it had me plenty worried.

Thanks Dave!
